Pangasinan gov suspends classes in school where shooting happened

MANILA, Philippines — Pangasinan Governor Amado T. Espino Jr. declared a two-day class suspension starting this Tuesday at the Pangasinan National High School “to allow the faculty, staff, and students the time to recover from the trauma yesterday’s (Monday) senseless shooting.”

Espino also said that he offered his condolences to the family of the victims and wished for the speedy recovery of those who were wounded.

Police Officer 2 Domino Alipio shot dead three people, including a teacher, and wounded four others after Alipio reportedly ran amuck.

Senior Superintendent Reynaldo Biay, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office ‎officer-in-charge, said Alipio went to the school to collect payment from one of the victims who owed him.

The police seized a .45 caliber handgun and a folded carbine from Alipio who is currently under the custody of the Lingayen police.
