A report from the Moro National Liberation Front website showed Misuari in full battle gear and urging his supporters to pursue their right to self-determination.

He added that Misuari is still subject to law enforcement as the fugitive has been charged for his involvement in the Zamboanga City siege in September 2013.

“Misuari should take the responsibility by submitting himself to the rule of law and face the consequences of his group’s actions in Zamboanga City that afflicted suffering to the people of Zamboanga,” Zagala said.
