Rain dampens Sona 2014 protest but rallyists continue

MANILA, Philippines – Rain dampened anti-Aquino protests along Commonwealth Avenue midday Monday but this did not deter rallyists from continuing their program.

Thousands of militants are expected to attend the rally near the Ever Gotesco Mall along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.

President Benigno Aquino III will give his State of the Nation Address at nearby Batasang Pambansa amid the controversies surrounding the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel and the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).
