Biz time, mall time
MANILA, Philippines–By the end of the year, Muntinlupa residents may find doing business with the city government as easy as going to the mall.
City administrator Allan Cachuela has revealed plans to move their most patronized services to satellite offices in Starmall in Barangay (village) Alabang.
Among the offices to be moved include the city Business Permits and Licensing Office, the Building Official’s Office, the National Statistics Office, the National Bureau of Investigation, the Assessors’ Office, and the cashier, Cachuela said.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi only needs a resolution from the city council authorizing him to sign the memorandum of agreement (MOA). Once the MOA is signed, Cachuela estimated that the satellite offices may be operational by December.
The mall operators offered the city government 239 square meters on Starmall Alabang’s second level and 500 square meters on the third, said Cachuela.–Jaymee T. Gamil, Andrea Ocampo, trainee
