The song, popularized by Matt Monroe in the late ’60s, was Estrada’s  reaction  when told about Ejercito’s earlier remarks for him:  “Just call my name, I’ll be there,” which was also a line from the song “I’ll be there.”

Asked what he meant by the song  he dedicated to  Ejercito, Estrada said: “Lumayas ka sa harapan ko” followed by a hearty laugh.

Turning serious ,  Estrada said  his message  for  his half-brother was : “Be sincere or else walk away.”

He said Ejercito’s claim that he would be there for him was “farthest from the truth.”

Estrada and Ejercito, both sons of former President and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada with different  women, have  since been perceived to have at odds at each other.

While he said their relationship had improved before, Ejercito admitted that it became bitter again after he signed a committee report that recommends the filing of criminal charges against Estrada, Senators Juan Ponce-Enrile and Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and several other personalities  allegedly involved in the “pork barrel” scam.

Estrada also doubts Ejercito’s sincerity when the latter told a forum  early in the day that he would be ready to take care of  his brother’s family.

“Be sincere,” Estrada  again said.
