Palace condoles with Cuevas’ family

MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang mourned the death of former Associate Justice Serafin Cuevas, who led the defense team of then Chief Justice Renato Corona during his impeachment trial in 2012.

Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma, in a text message to reporters on Monday, recognized Cuevas’ contributions to the government.

“We extend our condolences to the family of the late Justice Serafin Cuevas who dedicated a good portion of his life and career to public service,” Coloma said.
