Tattooed man shot dead by motorcycle-riding men in QC
MANILA, Philippines — A man bearing a tattoo of the word “halimaw” (monster) was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding gunmen before dawn Thursday in a Quezon City neighborhood.
Police said the victim was only wearing a pair of denim jeans and sported a tattoo of the word “Halimaw” on his back when he was killed.
The shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. at the corner of Maria and Dominga Streets in FB de Jesus Subdivision in Barangay (village) Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches.
Police Officer 2 Jogene Hernandez, case investigator, said the victim was 30 to 35 years old and was about 5’3″ to 5’5″ tall.
A resident who was inside his house recalled hearing a series of gunfire coming from outside, prompting him to check the commotion.
From his window, the witness saw two men aboard a red motorcycle on the street. Hernandez said one of the men was seen holding a gun.

Hernandez said the man might have been shot with a .45 pistol based on the two shells and two slugs recovered from the crime scene.
The still unidentified victim died on the spot due to gunshot wounds on his chin and the left side of the neck, police added.
