Procession injuries hit 1,686

MANILA, Philippines–The number of injured in the daylong Black Nazarene procession has breached the 1,000 mark, the Department of Health (DOH) said Thursday.

In its 6:00 p.m. report, the DOH said 1,686 patients were attended to at the 30 medical stations deployed around the procession route.

In Quezon Bridge, six patients were rushed to medical tents for first aid treatment including a woman who was rushed to hospital due to stroke.

As of posting time, the procession has now passed Castillejos Street.
