155 injured in procession—PRC
MANILA, Philippines – Even before the Black Nazarene could reach Quiapo Church, the number of injured from the procession has shot up to 155.
An hourly announcement of the Philippine Red Cross said that as of 11 a.m., 155 individuals were attended to by paramedics in several areas.
In Quirino Grandstand alone, 55 were said to have experienced dizziness and headache. One, a 28-year-old devotee identified as Jeffrey Posadas from Valenzuela, fell from the Black Nazarene’s carriage after he attempted to climb it.
First aid duty officers said he was brought to the hospital for further treatment.
As of posting time, the Black Nazarene is approaching Jones Bridge.
