Santiago calls Enrile ‘sex addict’

MANILA, Philippines – Besides tagging him as the alleged mastermind of the pork barrel scam, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago on Wednesday also called Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce-Enrile names – from being a “sex addict” to  “psychopathic heypersexualized serial  womanizer.”

In her speech, Santiago branded Enrile as “Drama King” of corrupt politics, “Mastermind of Plunder,” “King of smuggling empire” “King of Martial Law” among others.

Enrile who was just seated in front of Santiago was seen laughing and at times playing with his tablet computer while listening to his feisty colleague.

In her opening speech, Santiago pointed to Enrile as the mastermind of the P10-billion “pork barrel fund scam.

Enrile was seated in front of the session hall facing Santiago when the latter pointed her fingers to him as she opened her speech entitled: “Navigating the crimes of the plunder mastermind.”

“Today the time has come. At least we stand at the very heart of the epic pork barrel corruption in the Congress, especially the Senate,” she said.

“Why are the proportions of corruption so epic in the scale? How did the criminals manage to steal some P10 billion pesos of the people’s money in just ten years? Who is the mastermind?” Santiago asked.
