Stepladder round of NCC caging resumes

/ 09:25 AM December 02, 2013

Four more teams look to come closer to that coveted Final Four berth in the 2013 National Collegiate Championship as the stepladder phase of the Metro Manila-Luzon regionals continues today at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City.

University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Letran, runners-up of the UAAP and the NCAA, respectively, are aiming to end this year with a bang when they tangle against one another in the main game set at 4 p.m. In the opener, the National University (NU) Bulldogs and the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws will also duke it out.

The winner of the said matches will advance to the finals of this qualifier, wherein the champion squad advances to the single round-robin semifinals. Already waiting there are UAAP champs La Salle, NCAA rulers San Beda and the Southern Island winners Southwestern University. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
