DZIQ: Aquino arrives in Manila
MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino III arrived in Manila Monday after attending the 18th Asean Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia, a report on Radyo Inquirer said.
The report said that Aquino arrived at Villamor Airbase in Manila at 12:07 p.m., after attending the 18th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia. He left Indonesia at 8:15 a.m. after his flight was canceled Sunday night because of tropical storm ‘Bebeng.’
Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Mario Montejo, DOST Undersecretary Graciano Yumul, Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila de Lima and Philippine Atmospherical Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)Administrator Nathaniel Servando were present during his arrival at the Villamor Airbase, the report stated.
Aquino was joined by Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario, Trade Secretary Gregory Domingo, Energy Secretary Jose Rene Almendras, and Presidential Communications Development Secretary Ricky Carandang in the chartered flight back to the country.
