While more road accidents in Metro Manila in 2012 occurred during the day, the ones with fatalities often took place at night or in the wee hours of the morning. According to the latest data from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, there were 257 fatalities resulting from road accidents in Metro Manila from 6 p.m. to 5:55 a.m. compared to 137 recorded between 6 a.m. and 5:55 p.m. last year.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
