Second Elizabeth run fires off this Sunday

/ 06:44 AM November 08, 2013

THE “Second Elizabeth Royal Run 2013” will unfold this Sunday starting at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu. The run aims to raise funds to help rebuild the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

Hotel Elizabeth’s front office manager Jean B. Daño expects to draw around a thousand runners and said that registration will extend up to the race day.

“Our president, Elizabeth Fernando of Fersal Hotel Group is really into charity works. Last year, our proceeds went to the San Pedro Calungsod Foundation. This year, we decided to support the rebuilding of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) which was greatly affected by the 7.2-magnitude earthquake that rocked Cebu and Bohol. The CCMC is no longer safe for occupancy forcing patients to take temporary shelter at the Cebu City Fire Department across the CCMC building,” Daño said.
