Suspected druggie falls

A 31-year-old man was arrested for allegedly possessing illegal drugs in barangay Poog, Toledo City at around 10 a.m. yesterday.

Joselito Benlot of Sitio Masaba, barangay Cantabaco, was carrying a small transparent sachet containing a crystalline substance when PO1 Russy Alcoseba chanced upon him.

According to PO3 Alfredo Barquin, Benlot is believed to be a user of illegal drugs. The suspect was in the area to buy the illegal substance, he added.

“Naka-civilian man gud ni atong arresting officer gikan sa usa ka conference unya ni menor siya gamay ani nga lugara nga ilhan na nga daghang namaligya og shabu,” Barquin said. (The arresting officer was in civilian clothes. He just came from a conference and slowed down at the area which is known for illegal drug transactions.)
