Facebook users report outages, log-in issues

MANILA, Philippines — Thousands of Facebook users reported problems accessing their accounts Friday night.
Facebook appeared to have experienced a major global outage, as many users cited log-in issues, disruptions affecting other Meta-owned platforms, including Messenger and Instagram.

Users reported being unexpectedly logged out of their accounts, while others encountered problems loading their news feeds.
Some were greeted with error messages stating, “Sorry, something went wrong,” and many experienced difficulties logging back in.
The outage lasted for about 30 minutes before services gradually returned to normal. Reports of disruptions were recorded in several countries, including the Philippines and other parts of Asia.
Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, acknowledged the issue and said its engineers were working to restore services. As of the latest reports, the company had not disclosed the cause of the outage. /dp /jpv
