Labordo scores third-round KO

ALA Boxing gym’s Juren Labordo scored a third-round knockout against Marzon Cabilla of Valencia City in the main event of ALA-Cobra “Tunay Na Lakas” fight card at the Bays Center in Bacolod City Saturday night.

Labordo downed Cabilla at the 1:56 mark of the third round to log his 11th win and seventh knockout.

Another Bacolod City native, Rolan “Momoy” Servania, defeated Marlon Macayan of Antique via unanimous decision after six rounds. Two judges scored the bout at 59-53 while the other one scored it 58-54, all in favor of the younger brother of WBO Asia Pacific Super bantamweight champion Genesis “Azukal” Servania.

Royroy Sumugat, who is also from Bacolod City, scored a technical knockout win over Arlon Batingal of Butuan. John Rey Melligen added another win for the Bacolod City boxers by scoring another TKO victory over Arnel Acebuque of Valencia City./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
