Free training for college undergraduates bared
THE Department of Science and Technology in Central Visayas (DOST-7) is working with a Korean firm to manufacture hospital beds.
Both have agreed to conduct training on the production of quality and durable medical equipment.
A 40-day training with allowance from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be conducted this month at the DOST regional office in sitio Sudlon, barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
The training program is targeting 40 participants region-wide. Successful trainees will be hired with appropriate compensation for a pilot project on hospital bed production.
To qualify, he/she must be 22-30 years old, a high school graduate with mechanical skills, have units in college or Tesda, willing to work full time, preferably with experience as machine operator, welder and painter and must be physically fit.
Interested applicants may submit their biodata, recent 2×2 picture, barangay clearance, medical certificate and application letter to Engr. Rene Burt Llanto, DOST regional director. Deadline for submission is Oct. 17.
