ALA-Cobra Bacolod card set

JUREN Labordo will lead Bacolod boxers in another edition of the ALA-Cobra ‘Tunay Na Lakas’ fight card slated on Oct. 12 at the Bays Center in Bacolod City.

Labordo, along with five other boxers who are mostly from the ALA Boxing Gym in Cebu City, are expected to treat their local fans to a night of topnotch boxing. Labordo will fight Marzon Cabilla of Valencia City in the 112lbs division for 10 rounds. Labordo will put his unbeaten record of 10-0 with 6KOs at stake against Cabilla who holds a record of 9-9-1, 4KOs.

Meanwhile, the younger brother of WBO Asia Pacific Super bantamweight champion Genesis “Azukal” Servania, Rolando, will go up against Antique’s Marlon Macayan in the 115lbs division for six rounds. Rolando totes an undefeated record of 4-0,1KOs while Macayan will be gunning for his second win in as many professional bouts.

Also in the card is Roy Sumugat who is looking to end his losing streak when he battles Rolly Llino of Butuan City in the 126lbs division. Sumugat who is also from Bacolod has a record of 8-8-1, 2KOs while Llino totes a 5-9-1, 2KOs mark.

John Rey Melligen and Arnel Acebuque of Valencia City clash in the 126lbs division for six rounds while Alvin Sibugan of Bacolod faces Valencia City’s Glen Cantiveros (108lbs) for four rounds.

Featured in the opening bout will be Ruben Sibugan and Butuan City’s Brian Johnson in the 110lbs class for four rounds. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
