Groups at EDSA Tayo continue Million People March petition signing
MANILA, Philippines—Groups on Wednesday set up booths around the EDSA Shrine, hoping to add thousands of signatures to the ongoing petition against the pork barrel system.
Inday Espina-Varona of Change.org said they were at EDSA to facilitate the continuation of the Million People March petition calling for the abolition of the pork barrel system.
The assistance of the petition signing website was especially requested by EDSA Tayo organizers.
Varona said it would be easier for people to sign their names on paper than to go visit their website during the vigil.
She said the group has gathered 15,000 signatures online and around 70,000 on the ground from the last anti-pork barrel rally.
