Caught on cam: Man, 81, held for child rape
An 81-year-old man was arrested and charged Thursday for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl with a mental disability in Quezon City.
The alleged sexual assault was caught on camera by a neighbor of suspect Estelito Lucillo, of Banlat, Barangay Tandang Sora.
SPO1 Helen Banguel of the Quezon City Police District said Lucillo’s neighbor Rey Alforte was watching TV on the second floor of his house around noon Wednesday when he spotted Lucillo outside in his own yard, which he found unusual.
Alforte then went down and, through a hole in the fence, saw the elderly man in the act of raping a girl.
The neighbor then took photos of the act using a camera phone, which were then shown to barangay authorities, leading to Lucillo’s arrest. Julie M. Aurelio
