Money lender slain in Culiat

An owner of a money lending shop was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants Thursday night in his Quezon City neighborhood.

Reynaldo Arbon, 43, of Centro Street, Sitio Mabilog in Barangay Culiat died of a gunshot wound on the head when ambushed at the corner of Abenojar Street and FFF Extension in the same village.

PO2 Alvin Quisumbing of the Quezon City Police District said two men on a motorcycle were seen shooting the victim as he walked on the street around 9:35 p.m. Thursday.

The victim still had his wallet and phone when the attackers left, but according to the family he was carrying a pouch bag when he went out that day, which was already missing when the police arrived. Julie M. Aurelio
