Lim leaves Customs, awaits new assignment
MANILA, Philippines—Deputy Commissioner Danilo Lim has officially relinquished his post at the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
In his letter addressed to Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon dated Aug. 12, 2013, Lim expressed appreciation for the support and guidance shown him during his 23-month stay at the bureau, which he said gave him a lot of experience and fueled his professional and personal growth.
Lim, BOC deputy commissioner for intelligence, resigned from his post a day after the bureau got a stinging rebuke from President Benigno Aquino III in his State of the Nation Address on July 22.

Last Aug. 8, Mr. Aquino announced that he has accepted Lim’s offer to quit. He said Lim will be given a new assignment outside the BOC.

“I know I have done my best and made sure that all work has been satisfactorily finished. I have been privileged to work at the bureau and I wish you more success for the future,” he told Biazon in his letter coursed through Tañada.
Biazon, on the other hand, acknowledged Lim’s letter of relinquishment of duties.
“It has indeed been a pleasure to have you on board and I wish you only the best in all your future endeavors,” Biazon told Lim in his reply letter.
