All LRT 1 stations flooded but operations continue–authorities
MANILA, Philippines – All Light Rail Transit System Line 1 stations are flooded as of Tuesday morning but operations continue, the LRT Authority (LRTA) announced on Twitter.
All 20 stations from Baclaran to Roosevelt are at least ankle-deep in flood waters, said the post at around 7:30 am on Tuesday.
The ground level of Roosevelt station is ankle-deep in flood water while Carriedo, Tayuman and Doroteo Jose water levels are above the ankle.
Knee-deep waters were reported for 5th Avenue, Abad Santos, Blumentritt and Bambang.
Those going to Balintawak, Monumento, UN Avenue, Pedro Gil, Vito Cruz, Quirino, Gil Puyat, Libertad, EDSA and Baclaran stations should also expect above the knee flood waters.

Article continues after this advertisementThe LRTA (@OfficialLRTA) said Central station is already flooded at the ground-level with surrounding areas almost waist-deep.
At 8:15 am, the LRTA announced that only Pureza Station is flooded for the LRT Line 2.
“The rest of Line 2 stations are NOT flooded,” the post read.
Information on flood levels surrounding the Metro Rail Transit has yet to be released.
