Red rainfall alert up in metro–Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Rainfall alert was raised to red in Metro Manila due to heavy rains spawned by Typhoon “Maring”, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.
“Heavy to torrential rains are affecting Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Bulacan, Zambales, Cavite, Bataan, Pampanga and Occidental Mindoro,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued at 7:15a.m
“Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains are affecting Batangas, Laguna and Quezon and most likely to continue for the next three hours,” it added.
Severe flooding is expected in these areas.
