Travel agent’s office in Lapu robbed

AT LEAST P100,000 cash was stolen from a travel office which was ransacked yesterday dawn in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

Christine Marie Sepra, accounting manager of Pelagos Tours and Travel Corp. owned by Nikita Osharov, reported the burglary to the Theft and Robbery Section (TRS) of the Lapu-Lapu city police.

Security guard Rigelio Baculi told police he was patrolling the surroundings of the Mactan Town Center when he noticed that the door of the office was destroyed.

Baculi said he checked the office and found things inside in disarray.

Police said the robbers took P100,000 cash, $1,000 and a cellphone worth P12,000 from the cash drawer.
