Reading ambassadors to host membership orientation

THE Basadours, a group of volunteer ambassadours for reading and storytelling, will hold a membership orientation on Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Cebu City Public Library (CCPL) on Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.

The membership orientation will discuss more on what The Basadours is all about and the benefits of reading and storytelling.

Participants will also be able to see the earlier projects of the Basadours and get an overview of the upcoming events that will be done. They will also learn more on how to support the organization in promoting reading and storytelling.

The Basadours believe that literacy is an essential step to basic education.

Its members include librarians, teachers, media personalities, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, nurses, lawyers and students.
