Wolves rout Knights in E-League
BEHIND a furious first quarter attack, the Convergys Wolves easily got rid of the Qualfon Knights, 101-55, last Saturday in the 2011 Powerade E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
The Wolves asserted their might right in the very opening period where they outscored the Knigst 27-7.
Things completely got out of hand for the Knights as they got buried by 25 points at the half, 48-23.
Joirene Salceda led Convergys’ balanced scoring by firing 21 points. Lennart Goricho, Daryl Ochate and Dean Junber Escalon scored 10 apiece, while Emmanuel David Cosca, Kristian Tapic and Joselito Ruiz added eight each as the Wolves tied the defending champions Teletech Titans at the top on identical 8-1 (win-loss) records.
Albert Shelby Johnston II scored 11 points, while Bobette Caballero and Condrad Matuguina had 10 apiece for Qualfon, which absorbed their fifth loss in 10 games.

Article continues after this advertisementIn the other game, Opinionology snatched its fifth win in nine games with a one-sided 79-48 triumph over the Kyocera Frontiers.
John Denver Rivera scattered 18 points, Michael Gabutin donated 12 and Rhett Romeo Tomakin had 10 for Opinionology, which never looked back after taking a 21-9 lead after the first quarter.
