Velarde tops CETBA Bowler of the Month tournament at SM City Cebu

REY VELARDE was named the best bowler for July after he dominated last Saturday’s Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association’s (CETBA) Monthly Tournament at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.

Velarde totallled 1,239 pinfalls in six games beat 27 other bowlers who took part in this monthly tournament.

Velarde’s tournament high was during the third round, when he finished with 244 pinfalls. He almost matched this in the fifth when he downed 226 pins.

Salve Tesio scored 1,219 pinfalls to claim second place. She scored 195 pinfalls in the fourth, which served as her best for the tournament.

Rounding off the top three bowlers in the monthly tilt is Alexander Lagcao, who finished with 1,210 pinfalls.

Fourth to 10th placers were Fiel Alasagas (1,206), David Schmitz (1,134), Baby Bacon (1,123), Noel Tanyu (1,122), William Ngo (1,120), Makoto (1,112) and Emie Osada (1,105), respectively.
