Samsam opposed to pork barrel abolition
NEOPHYTE Rep. Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas of Cebu’s 1st district said he doesn’t favor the abolition of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
Gullas said the PDAF, also know as pork barrel, can be put to good use provided that it funds the projects it was intended for.
“If we follow the menu nindot gyud kaayo (it’s good),” Gullas said.
Gullas said the amount of funds to be released is dependent on how much is asked by the barangay captains.
He said he’s even willing to allocate funds in areas that aren’t allied with the Alayon Party like Talisay City and San Fernando town.
He said funding for projects in San Fernando will be channeled to ally and former mayor Neneth Reluya. Gullas’ pork barrel will be released next month.
