Mandela continues to respond to treatment

JOHANNESBURG — Nelson Mandela “continues to respond to treatment” but is still in a critical condition in hospital, South Africa’s presidency said Thursday.

The upbeat assessment came after President Jacob Zuma visited the global peace icon for the second time in 24 hours.
