MANILA, Philippines — Wednesday’s rain may last the whole day in Metro Manila and nearby provinces due to the intertropical convergence zone affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said.

Jori Loiz, weather forecaster from the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, told INQUIRER.net that although there was a low pressure area, the ITCZ and cloud clusters in West and East Philippine Seas that could turn into potential cyclones were bringing in rains.
