Motorists reminded of traffic rerouting scheme in San Juan

MANILA, Philippines – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reminded motorists of a rerouting scheme imposed in some roads in San Juan City Monday in line with the celebration of the “Wattah! Wattah!” festival, which marked the feast of the city’s patron, St. John the Baptist.

In its Twitter account, MMDA said that since 5a.m., traffic was rerouted in parts of N. Domingo Street which were closed from corner F. Blumentritt Street up to the corner of Pinaglabanan Street.

MMDA said A. Lake Street, F. Roman Street and A. Luna Street were likewise closed to traffic from N. Domingo Street.

Buses and trucks coming from Ortigas Avenue and the northern part of Santolan Road bound for Manila were advised to take Granada Street westbound, left to Aurora Boulevard, then to their destinations.

Heavy vehicles from Manila via Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard bound for Ortigas Avenue were also directed to proceed straight north to Aurora Boulevard, right to Gilmore Street,  straight to Granada Street, to Ortigas Avenue and then to their destinations.
