First full Japan reactor restart since Fukushima

TOKYO, Japan – Japan on Wednesday approved the full resumption of commercial operations of an atomic reactor for the first time since the March 11 quake and tsunami sparked the Fukushima nuclear accident.

Hokkaido Electric Power Co. restarted commercial operations at the Tomari nuclear power plant’s reactor No. 3 after receiving the official go-ahead from the central government, Jiji Press reported.
