A TOTAL of 183 students from Tandayag Elementary School in barangay Tandayag, Amlan, Negros Oriental have benefited from the e-library recently provided by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI).

Eileen Bartolome from Ardent Communications representing Chevron Philippines said Chevron volunteers renovated an old classroom into a Caltex for Learning Center complete with new bookshelves and partitions for reading and computer sections. Chevron also donated desks and some P30,000 worth of books and other learning materials.

Tandayag Elementary School has been a beneficiary of CPI’s Brigada Eskwela.

Past Chevron efforts included the repair of a school wall that was considered unsafe after the area experienced magnitude 6.9 earthquake in 2012.
