MCWD meters stolen
At least 15 water meters were stolen on Sunday and Monday in Talisay City.
The first to report the theft was Auring Pamor of barangay Isidro, who noticed the theft at 3:45 a.m. last Sunday.
Police said since then 14 other water meters were stolen.
Police said they were investigating the incidents and suspected that two persons were involved in the theft.
Police said that they were coordinating with the barangay officials of the barangays to help neutralize the thefts.
Police said they were also negotiating with the Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD) to install a steel box on their water meters as a deterrent to thieves.
