Police nab four car thieves in QC

MANILA, Philippines – Four carjackers were caught by authorities in Quezon City Monday, a report from Radyo Inquirer said.

The report said that the four suspects Edilberto Marteja a.k.a. Boyong, Larry Fernandez, Ricky Fernandez and Mike Decatanungan were caught near a gasoline station in Quezon Avenue by operatives of the District Anti-Carnapping Unit of the Quezon City Police District.

Authorities believed that the suspects, armed with a 9mm pistol, a .38 caliber revolver and a .22 caliber magnum handgun, were planning to steal another vehicle when they were arrested.

QCPD-DACU chief Superintendent Ferdinand Villanueva was quoted as saying that the suspects were known to have last stolen a Honda hatchback from Bulacan back in July 28.
