All set for Parklane run

All is set for the third edition of Cebu Parklane International Hotel’s Hunat Sugbo Run: Dagan Para Ni Maning slated June 23 at the Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces.

Around P100,000 worth of cash prizes will be at stake in this running event, which will offer 21-kilometer, 10k and 5k distances.

The race was officially launched yesterday at the Parklane Hotel. Present were Parklane president Basil Ting, board of director Alan Ting, Parklane’s general manager Cenelyn Manguilimotan, race director Joel Baring and marketing head Barbie Patiño.

The organizers once more are expecting an increase in the number of participants joining this year.

FEATURED STORIES

To give local runners a chance this year, organizers decided to make a separate division for foreign runners, especially the Kenyans, who won last year’s event.

The proceeds of the running event will go to the hotel’s medical mission set on July 6 with the partnership of Jesu Cristi Community of Cebu and the Gualandi Volunteer Service Programme Inc.

Registration fee for the 21k is P600, P500 for the 10k and P400 for the 5k, which includes a buffet breakfast, a dri-fit shirt, race bib and refreshments. Registration can be done at the RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu and Ayala Active Zone. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
