Former perennial Karter of the Year Jette Calderon scaled the top of the mountain once again as he hoisted the championship in the premier KT Expert class during the opening leg of the 2013 Kartzone Superkart Series held last weekend at the Kartzone track in barangay Panagdait, Cebu City.

Calderon, a recent graduate of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, took full advantage of the absence of reigning Karter of the Year and rival Juan Antonio “Tonyo” Carcel and swept the rest of the heats including the 25-lap final heat which he finished in 11 minutes, 48.197 seconds, beating Joseph Rojo by a whopping seven seconds.

In third place was Justin Go.
