2 hurt in vehicular accident on Edsa

MANILA, Philippines — At least two people were injured in an accident in Makati City, an officer from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said Tuesday.

Dang Rosulada of the MMDA Metrobase said the mishap on the northboundlane of Edsa in Guadalupe involved a bus, a jeepney and a motorcycle.

The circumstances surrounding the 6 a.m. accident aren’t clear but an unidentified passenger from the jeepney and the motorcycle’s driver were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, Rosulada said, adding that the road was cleared 30 minutes later.

More than an hour after, another accident, this time involving two cars, a taxi, and a motorcycle, happened at 7:51 a.m. along the southbound lane of C5 Katipunan flyover in Quezon City, she said.

Rosulada however could not provide details, only saying that an ambulance from the Quirino Memorial Medical Center was on the scene. Karen Boncocan
