11 fall in drug bust

Eleven persons including six high school graduates were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City on Tuesday night.

An Air Force man assigned at the Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base was also arrested after he was caught carrying a firearm outside the house of 29-year-old Jade Pobadora, the target of the raid.

Pobadora’s alleged runner Michael Peralta, 33, was also arrested. Forty-eight packs of suspected shabu and the buy-bust money were recovered from Peralta.

Police said a poseur-buyer bought three sachets of shabu worth P600 from Pobadora and Peralta.

Police said the six high school graduates and three other persons were caught sniffing shabu inside the house of Pobadora which was allegedly used as a drug den.

Police said Staff Sgt. Joel Seldura, 43, was spotted outside Pobadora’s house with a .38 revolver tucked in his wait.

Police said Selduran failed to present the license of the gun.

Selduran will be charged with illegal possession of firearms and violation of the election gun ban.

Pobadora and Peralta were charged with drug pushing and possession of illegal drugs.

2 drug suspects nabbed in Bogo

TWO men were arrested for allegedly selling illegal drugs in barangay Gairan, Bogo City, northern Cebu.

Police described Zaipher Alcantara, 21, and Johnny Polar Tunacao, 37, as elusive drugs suspects.

“Idlas man gud kaayo ning duha. Dali kaayo maka detect kung naay mga police (They are very elusive. They can easily detect the presence of the police),” PO3 Jim Susvilla of Bogo City police said.

Police said Alcantara sold two sachets of suspected shabu to a police asset, while Tunacao accepted the P600 buy-bust money.
