Kidney patient asks readers for help

Alone and suffering from chronic kidney disease, Rea Rita Hilario has turned to a friend for the moral and emotional support she badly needs.

The 46-year-old former office secretary whose parents died of cancer in the late 1990s has been looking for sponsors and donors for her treatment with the help of Rosalyn Lecciones.

A resident of Tondo, Manila, Hilario undergoes dialysis three times a week at IM Health Medical, Dialysis & Wellness Center near SM San Lazaro, in Sta. Cruz, Manila, at P2,500 per session. She receives a shot of Recormon afterward to keep her hemoglobin levels normal. Each injection costs P1,700.
