Police eye links to politician
Police are looking at narcopolitics in the police encounter with suspected drug pushers in barangay Polpogan, Consolacion town in northern Cebu last week.
Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, Police Regional Office 7 chief, said a cell phone from one of those arrested showed a plan against a Consolacion town official.
Garbo, however, said the plan was found in Elmer Isok’s phone which was confiscated during last week’s operation.

Garbo also claimed that they were checking reports that suspects Francisco Ariba and Isok were goons of a politician.
He, however, said these reports had yet to be verified. /Correspondent Chito O. ARagon
