Big Chill, Cagayan Valley log huge victories
The Big Chill Superchargers and the Cagayan Valley Rising Suns registered convincing wins yesterday, thanks to dominant first half performances against their respective opponents in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup yesterday at the Arena in San Juan City.
Big Chill romped all over Boracay Rum, 82-60, while the Rising Suns decimated Informatics, 98-56.
With star guard Terrence Romeo back in the flow, the Superchargers bounced back from their 63-69 loss to Hog’s Breath last week. Romeo scored 15 points in his first game since suffering a broken hand more than a month ago.
Janus Lazoda scored 18 points, including 4-of-6 shooting from the 3-point range, while Arvie Bringas had 16.
In the other game, the Cagayan Rising Suns get down to business right away and secured their first win in just 20 minutes. James Forrester scored 17 points and Chris Eximiniano added 14 for the Rising Suns, who made short work of the Icons.
