2 brothers fall in Olango buy-bust
Two brothers tagged by police as elusive drug suspects finally fell into the hands of authorities after a buy-bust operation in barangay Sta. Rosa off Olango Island in Lapu-Lapu City.
Kim Marangga, 20 and his 36-year-old brother Rodulfo were arrested after they sold two packs of suspected shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer, Senior Insp. Roger Quijano, chief of police station 1 based in barangay Talima, Olango.
Police yesterday filed charges against the two before the Lapu-Lapu City Prosecutor’s Office.
Quijano said police have been monitoring the two due to persistent reports that they were involved in selling illegal drugs in the island.
Several buy-bust operations were conducted against the two brothers but they repeatedly eluded arrest, Quijano said.
Quijano and his men finally cornered the two brothers at 10:45 a.m. Thursday after the suspects agreed to sell shabu to a policeman who acted as a buyer.
