Cardinals begin swearing oath of secrecy for pope vote

VATICAN CITY—Catholic cardinals assembled in the Sistine Chapel on Tuesday began swearing an oath of secrecy for the duration of their conclave to elect the next pope.

The 115 cardinals swore, under pain of ex-communication, to reveal nothing of their deliberations.
