3rd MAD Run fires off today

THE Third Make A Difference (MAD) Run will kick off today with around 1,500 runners expetced to answer the starting gun at the Lahug Barangay Hall.

Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama will be among the participants as he joins the short distance category of the race.

Aside from Mayor Rama, some of Cebu’s best local elite runners will be vying for the top plums in the six kilometer, 10k and 16k categories.

The race will kick off at 5 a.m.

Organizers are putting up this race to encourage runners to join them in pushing for a resolution to the Cebu City Council, requesting the latter to lower running permit fees. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
