DOT campaigns for Punta Princesa Underground River

/ 06:54 AM August 05, 2011

THE Department of Tourism (DOT) is campaigning to include the Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) in the New 7 Wonders of Nature (N7WN).

In the coming months, the DOT will conduct familiarization trips for the media and produce a TV episode on the campaign and the natural wonder of the river to strengthen the PPUR’s bid for world’s seven wonders.

Tourism Secretary Alberto Lim recently met with the officials of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, asking them to support the program.

“I have made a pitch for them to support the program and I am happy that they have responded positively by saying they will encourage mainland Chinese to vote as well,” Lim said.
