FC Fortune logs 2nd straight win in St. Augustine hoop

FC Fortune of team owner Allan Alvez claimed its second straight win at the expense of D.R. Valle Builders, 118-91, Friday night to take the early lead in the team standings of the Senior-B Division in the St. Agustine Cup-2011 basketball tournament at the Emilio Jaca Memorial gym in barangay Inayawan, Cebu City.

FC Fortune jumped to a 39-17 lead in the first quarter and was never threatened the rest of the way to improve to 2-0. D.R. Valle Builders on the other hand, fell to 1-1, win-loss card.

Michael Cinco scattered a night-high 36 points to lead FC Fortune as four other teammates scored in double figures headed by former CIT Wildkitten Jundy Dimitiman and Karl Rama with 15 and 13 points, respectively while former USJ-R Jaguar Rey Abarquez and Joel Cañete combined for 21 markers.

Yumy Casul and Edsel Gaviola paced D.R. Valle Builders with 19 and 16 points, respectively while Glen Casul and Jojo Abatayo combined for 28 points.
