Thieves break into cop’s car, steal computer

Even policemen aren’t safe from thieves.

A police superintendent found this to be true after he lost on Saturday night his laptop computer to robbers who broke the window of his sport utility vehicle in order to get the gadget.

Supt. Nicasio Salamera, a member of the Quezon City Police District’s District Legal Unit (QCPD-DLU), said that he had left the computer worth around P60,000 in the back seat of his SUV.

In his complaint which he filed in the Masambong police station, Salamera said that he parked his Mitsubishi Montero on West Avenue in Barangay (village) Paltok around 8 p.m. on

Saturday.

He added that he made sure that all the vehicle’s doors were locked and its windows closed before he left it unattended.

But when he returned an hour later, he found one of the windows broken and his laptop computer missing.
